The rescue service consists solely of volunteer members and needs rescue material like ambulance vehicle, bandage material, first aid material, neck collar, diving equipment etc.
In the area around Phrukradung, as everywhere in northern and north-eastern Thailand, it is common for farmers to burn their fields after tilling. Uncontrolled forest fires break out regularly, endangering lives. The volunteer rescue service is on site and can therefore quickly provide first aid.
Due to sometimes heavy rainfall, the area around Phukradung also regularly suffers from flooding. In such cases, the rescue service can provide intensive support to the Thai government and supply the population with food, for example, if they are cut off from supplies.
The rescue service also provides first aid in the event of traffic accidents.
